Fire and Security Multiskilled Service Engineer – Hampshire

Location: Hampshire Department: Engineers
We are currently seeking a fire and security service engineer with experience in fire systems, emergency lights, intruder alarms, CCTV systems and access control systems. Knowledge of fire suppression would be beneficial but not essential. All candidates must have previous experience in either installation work or small works. The ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiative to NSI and BAFE industry standards. The package is commensurate with experience, knowledge base and qualifications. Overtime is frequently available for which additional payments will be made. Basic hours are 40hrs per week, with expected on target earnings of £50 - £55k.

The Role

  • Carry out installations to industry standards, NSI and BAFE
  • Meet predefined target times for installation
  • Clear and concise communication with the supervisors regarding customer issues
  • Electronic reporting and use of customer portals
  • Effective control of stock & vehicle audit
  • Awareness of Health & Safety
  • To present a professional appearance

The Candidate

  • Understanding of BS5839:1, BS5266:1 and BS7671
  • Experience of BAFE SP203-1 and all NSI standards
  • Previous experience is necessary
  • Must have full UK driving licence
  • Good timekeeping
  • Customer orientated
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Dynamic, forward thinking, and ambitious
