The Role
- Work closely with apprentices and apprenticeship delivery for learners engaged with the Fire and Security apprenticeship standards
- Development of suitable training methodologies to meet individual needs, team working and job specific disciplines
- Work closely with the apprentices and Mentors to ensure learner progression and learner outcomes are met in line to the apprenticeship standard
- Designing and implementing training interventions to positively affect performance and add value to the Secom customers experience
- Design and deliver soft skills workshops for our Engineers, team managers, administrators as they advance in their careers
- Working closely with the Head of Compliance and Training, sales managers, Installation and Service managers to implement the Secom Training strategy and ensure the department activity supports the strategic direction
- Evaluate training delivery experiences to drive quality assurance measures
The Candidate
- Excellent presentation, coaching, and training delivery skills
- Security industry experience is essential
- Credible knowledge and current experience in installing, commissioning and servicing, security systems. Example disciplines including Intruder, Access, CCTV and Fire. Willingness to upskill in any shortfall areas
- Specialised Industry Qualifications (FIA, FireQual, Milestone Advanced, or Equivalent)
- Willingness to develop yourself with continuous professional development with a sound portfolio of professional accreditations and certifications (electrical/electronic qualifications)
- “On Tools” experience of a 3-year minimum
- Experience of designing and delivering skills training with multiple training methodologies
- Assessment and teaching qualifications are desirable or preparedness to study towards
- Exceptional work ethic, by going the extra mile, supporting, and guiding the learners, so that their training experience is best that we can offer
- Have good IT Skills including Microsoft packages and app driven software use
