Service Engineer (with Fire Experience) – East Midlands

Secom are currently looking for Installation Engineers with fire experience to work at our Midlands branch.

Service & Installation Engineers (Fire & Security Systems): Service & Installation Engineers with experience in security and/or fire systems are required to undertake installations (Installation Engineers) or periodic maintenance/fault finding of Electronic Security Systems (Service Engineers), plus fire alarm systems if the candidate has the applicable skills.

All candidates must have had previous experience in either installing or servicing Intruder, CCTV, and Access Control systems for either installation work or reactive and preventative calls (+ Fire Systems also for Fire & Security Engineers). A generous bonus structure exists for reactive call out duties.

The package is commensurate with experience, knowledge base and qualifications. Overtime is frequently available for which additional payments will be made. 20 days holiday per year (rising to 25 days) in addition to National Holidays. A Contributory Pension scheme and for certain roles a performance based bonus scheme are also on offer. Basic hours are 40hrs per week.

Responsibilities

  • Attend sites and undertake either installation or periodic maintenance/fault finding of security alarm and detection systems, CCTV & Access Control Systems (Fire & Security System engineers will also undertake either installation or periodic maintenance/fault finding of fire alarm systems) and carry out necessary fault finding
  • To meet predefined target times for periodic inspections
  • Clear and concise communication with the service desk regarding customer issues
  • All paperwork/electronic reporting to the service desk carried out promptly
  • To present a professional appearance at all times.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in servicing Security Alarm Systems, CCTV , Access – Fire Systems also for Fire & Security engineers
  • Hold current qualifications or have relevant experience in Electronic Security Systems.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
